Lord, I thank You for second helpings of Your Grace when I least deserve it and for Your all-you-can-absorb Compassion before I ask. Your unconditional Love and untiring Patience allow us to live this day with hope.
How could we live with empty hearts? Thank You for Your Faithfulness to Your own Character of Love, even when we're between sprints of devotion to You. From what pathetic substitutes would we be trying to squeeze soul-satisfying love if You were fickle?
Thank You for pouring Your universal riches on us: diamonds in the night sky, emerald trees, sapphire seas, pearl moon, ruby sunsets and amethyst sunrises. Father, You are the God Who gives all these blessings freely, and the God Who permanently disposes of our sins in the bottom of the deep blue sea,as far as East is from the West.
To You, Great and Mighty God, I offer this praise and thanks in the Name of Jesus Whose Grace and Compassion has given us eternal life to enjoy today.
