Reigning God, thank You that its Your sure Salvation anchoring us securely in Your Hand instead of our faithfulness to You. We have no reason for confidence in ourselves - none. Our initial reactions prove time and again how weak-willed and shallow we can be when we face faith-challenging situations. Forgive us for slipping into coping mechanisms instead of onto our knees to praise and trust You, our God, THE God, our only Source of Hope through the cross of Christ.
"For You have been my hope, O Sovereign LORD, my confidence since my youth."
Psalm 71:5
Pry our fingers from the idols we don't recognize as idols. Strip our hearts of the empty and ex loves that lead us into spiritual famine. Keep our hearts, mind and feet moving in Your direction alone - anchored in Your Love, saved through Jesus' death on the cross, and sealed in Your Heart forever.

Fill us with all joy and peace until we overflow with hope by Your Holy power. Let us experience what it's like to be filled with Your Holy Spirit. Bring glory to Your Name through us as we prove Your faithfulness to a skeptical world.
