Sunday, March 25, 2012 - A Sunday Prayer

Father, we praise You fully today as we count the blessings You've put in our hands and hearts.
You're wonderful and powerful.  Your Love lights the darkest places in us, exceeding our highest hopes and protecting us from foolish, dangerous attitudes and beliefs. Your Grace has taken away everything standing between us.  Give us courage to look into Your eyes and hear what You have to say to us.
"because, although they knew God,

they did not glorify Him as God,
nor were thankful,
but became futile in their thoughts,
and their foolish hearts were darkened."
Romans 1:21
Empty us of empty pride and fill us with Your Holy Spirit.  Pour into us the medicine we need, as difficult as it may be to take. Forgive us for fighting You at so many turns with our whining, grumbling, and assumed martyrdom.  May we sit forward to hear what You want from us today. Burst through any walls we put between ourselves Your other children.  We want to live up to the Name You've given us, but we can't without Your complete and constant intervention.

Let this be the day You revive Your people.  Let this be the first of many days Your people want to be revived.
"And let the peace of God rule in your hearts,
to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful."
Colossians 3:15
In the Name of Jesus Who died to give us Life
