Ever heard that one? Teachers bounce this idea around schools as they decide how to reward achievers without making those who aren't as gifted or talented in the academic world feel like failures. This saying makes me wonder:
"If everyone is different, then no one is different."
"If everyone feels weird, then no one is weird."
We live among seven billion people on earth and no two of us are alike. Amazing, creative God! Each of us is special in the sense that each of us is unique, which is probably why we feel "weird" and "different." No one understands us because we are one of a kind with a one of a kind walk. Seven billion people covering a planet 197,260,000 square miles have an infinite number of ways to glorify God in unique ways: Seven billion possibilities for turning on the Light, seven billion combinations of how the Spirit could express fruit in people's lives.
What unique fruit combination could the One True Vine produce through branches who are "all in?" What could He make of us with His Spirit flowing unhindered through us? Yes, everyone is special, but I'll only discover how special when I'm all in and the Spirit is in all of me.
"I am the vine. You are the branches. If anyone remains joined to me, and I to him, he will bear a lot of fruit. You can’t do anything without me." John 15:5
"The strength to keep going must be allowed to finish its work. Then you will be all you should be. You will have everything you need." James 1:4
